Antique Gilt-Brass Rococo Ornament / Furniture Mount

Antique gilt-brass Rococo ornament / furniture mount, cast and gilded as a vertical asymmetric cartouche with C-scrolls, shell and acanthus motifs around a central domed cabochon. Likely an applied mount from furniture, a clock case or a frame. CONDITION - good decorative condition; verdigris and darkening in the recesses, minor rubbing to high points. Fixing method to be confirmed on the reverse. NOTE - Rococo-style attribution is by style; period and original use not confirmed. NB: resembles Item 8 (DSC_0044) - confirm whether they are two different pieces or the same piece photographed twice. Dimensions/weight to be confirmed.
