Antique French holy water font (benitier), early 20th century, rounded cream onyx backplate with natural amber veining. Circular silvered-metal Madonna & Child medallion above the original fluted clear-glass cup in a brass spring mount with rosette terminals. Brass back plate with ring hanger. CONDITION - age-appropriate wear: medallion darkened/tarnished, onyx with natural veining and minor surface marks (check for hairline in hand), brass patina; glass cup present. NOTE - French / early-20th-c. dating by style; no confirmed maker's mark. Pairs with the green onyx font (listed separately). Dimensions/weight to be confirmed.
