Antique French Framed Herbarium Specimen - Scorzonera humilis

Antique French framed herbarium specimen (herbier) - pressed and dried grassy-leaved plants hand-labelled in brown ink 'Scorzonera humilis / Scorzonere naine' (family Synantherees / Asteraceae), mounted with paper stays on blue-grey laid paper behind glass in a moulded wood frame. From a 19th- / early-20th-century French botanical study collection. CONDITION - age-appropriate: brittle dried specimen with minor losses, paper toned/spotted; frame with wear, glass dusty. NOTE - one of a matching series (see Items 17-19, 21); could be sold as a set. Species per the collector's handwritten label, not independently verified. Frame dimensions to be confirmed.
