Antique French Framed Herbarium Specimen - Legumineuses (Pea Family)

Antique French framed herbarium specimen (herbier) - a pressed and dried leguminous plant, hand-labelled in brown ink as a member of the 'Legumineuses' (pea/bean) family, mounted with paper stays on blue-grey laid paper behind glass in a moulded wood frame. From a 19th- / early-20th-century French botanical study collection. CONDITION - age-appropriate: dried specimen brittle with minor losses, paper toned and spotted; frame with rubbing and wear, glass dusty. NOTE - one of a matching series in this collection (see Items 17 and 19-21); the group could be sold together as a set for a premium. Species per the collector's handwritten label, not independently verified. Frame dimensions to be confirmed.
