Antique French Framed Herbarium Specimen - Euphorbia (Spurge)

Antique French framed herbarium specimen (herbier) - a pressed flowering plant of the spurge family with its roots, hand-labelled in brown ink 'Euphorbia / Euphorbe' (Euphorbiacees), mounted on blue-grey laid paper behind glass in a slim gilt frame. From a 19th- / early-20th-century French botanical study collection. CONDITION - age-appropriate: brittle dried specimen with minor losses, paper toned/spotted; gilt frame worn with chips and losses, glass dusty. NOTE - one of a matching series (see Items 17, 18, 20-21); could be sold as a set. Species per the collector's handwritten label, not independently verified. Frame dimensions to be confirmed.
